How to navigate this site

I started this blog as an easy means to keep track of my recipes. I often adapt recipes I find in books and on sites, or concoct my own when I'm feeling creative. When my boyfriend (usually the first victim around to undergo the results of my culinary exploits) suggested I should write down my recipes so I wouldn't forget them, I thought, why not online? That way, I can access my recipes anywhere in the world. No more "Oh, I have a great recipe for risotto at home" when I'm traveling or visiting friends. Plus, when my friends come over for dinner and like something, I can easily share the recipe with them. Double win!

That said, I never intended to make this a 'high traffic' site, hence I've been lazy and haven't added any picture of the dishes themselves (yet). What I have done is add some features to make the recipes more accessible: on the top navigation bar (to the left of the button you clicked to get to this page) there are broad categories of recipes. These are your usual suspects: appetizers, desserts, and what's for dinner? (A question I ask myself daily, often to great despair when nothing tasty comes into mind.) On the left sidebar are the individual (main) ingredients that are used in each recipe. So if you have, say, a tin of canned tomatoes and an egg plant, you may want to click 'canned tomatoes' or 'eggplant' to see what recipes come up that use that ingredient. These ingredients are listed in alphabetical order.

If you like a particular recipe or have any suggestions for variations, improvements or whole new tasty dishes, let me know in a comment!
